E3 2007: The Highlight

I don't care what anyone says, but this is definitely the highlight of this years E3. I mean come on, Sony must have spent all their cash on the exclusive deals, and the only Star Wars celebrity they could afford was Chewbacca.

E3 2007: New PSP looks the same

It make look the same on the outside, but look under the bonnet and you'll see that Sony have somehow managed to make the machine 33% lighter, 19% slimmer, make games run faster and the battery last longer. If that isn't good enough to make you buy one, then the new addition of TV output might. The new model will allow you to link up the PSP to your TV and playback music, movies, pictures and even games.

The unit will be priced at $199 and released in black and Ice silver. You will also get a Family Guy UMD (giggity-gig), Daxter and 1GB memory stick. It will hit shops this September.

If that didn't tickle your fancy, then you might want to buy a special edition Star Wars PSP, in white colour with Darth Vader's helmet on the back, and bundled with Star Wars Battlefront for $199.

The Final of the Four Part Essentials Series, the Handhelds. Both the Nintendo DS and Sony PSP are very different in what they do and who they're aimed at. The DS is for both the people who play games and those that didn't. The PSP more for the mainstream with its media capabilities and alluring design.
