Rumble is a 'Last Generation Feature' according to Sony

We all thought that Sony's idea of removing rumble from the Sixaxis pad was related to a lawsuit over the rumble technology, but in fact Sony have revealed their true intentions, Phil Harrison, in an interview with GameDaily BIZ sated:
"I believe that the Sixaxis controller offers game designers and developers far more opportunity for future innovation than rumble ever did. Now, rumble I think was the last generation feature; it's not the next-generation feature. I think motion sensitivity is. And we don't see the need to do that. Having said that, there will be specific game function controllers, potentially like steering wheels that do include vibration or feedback function -- not from us but from third parties."
Oh, right! So what was all that talk about the rumble interfering with the motion sensing of the Sixaxis when the final design was released last year? Seems like Sony have backed themselves up against a wall.
In other PS3 news, Sony revealed their pricing for games in Europe:
Retail games: £39.99 / €59.99
Downloadable games: €2.99 - €9.99 (no official Sterling price announced)
Well that seems to be the only good news Sony has given in a long time! Maybe we'll see retailers start to match the 360 games with these prices as well.
